My girl and I are getting close to our due date and we both had some ideas for this maternity portrait, so we created this set of life-styled photos for our little boy. Time flies, and soon enough, he will be able to look back and say “See, this is Me and my Mommy”.

Yosette and Glen asked me to capture this very rare portrait for them. It’s rare because sometimes, you just don’t know when your family will see each-other again and this was that moment. When I first spoke to Yosette about this portrait, she specifically requested a barn with tall grasses, and I know they like vintage so here we go. This location has great textures and is really fun, but there are obstacles, so backgrounds have to be carefully selected. The first photo you see here was the last from our session, the sun was just setting behind the mountains for a very nice defused light. After the initial posing I stepped back and told everyone to ignore me and do whatever they want to do.
